What we're looking for:

You can create the vision for delivering innovative, high-quality learning solutions that instill a culture of learning across Citrix’s key customer facing teams.

You have the ability to create a learning strategy framework that can address the needs of all stakeholders and be flexible enough to support the most basic (webinar recordings) to advanced (interactive eLearning) adult education approaches.

You will drive the adoption of the learning strategy framework by communicating the benefits of the approach to our key stakeholders and training their teams on the process.

You will participate in the Quarterly Readiness Review process to insure the framework is being leveraged and instructional design best practices are being adhered to.

You have the ability to lead and inspire a team of instructional designers to create world class adult education courseware.

Position Overview

This individual will be responsible for setting the direction and vision for the WW Sales Enablement team’s learning strategy as it relates to educating our field teams through our online learning platforms. They will lead a team of instructional designers who build engaging and effective eLearning enablement for both our sales and technical presales teams. This role will engage with our various stakeholder teams such as Product Readiness, Sales Effectiveness, Geo Sales Readiness, Communications, Channel Enablement, Support Readiness, etc. They will provide the structure, process, coaching and vision to insure these teams are partnering with us to provide cutting edge enablement that prepares our “customers” (Sales, PreSales, Channel, Support, etc.) to effectively position our solutions to solve our ultimate customer’s business challenges.

The Director, WW Sales Enablement Learning Strategy must have a thorough understanding of instructional design best practices as well sales enablement and adult education trends. The ability to collaborate with senior leaders is a requirement. This role also requires demonstrated skills in project management, attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Roles Responsibilities

  • Assist our instructional designers and stakeholders map learning objectives to desired business outcomes for our training.
  • Develop procedures to measure and track the value we are adding as instructional designers that is consistent with industry standards and properly delineates between content and course quality.
  • Work with our platform developers to drive a roadmap for our learning management system (LMS) and reporting dashboards that supports our learning strategy vision and aligns with the needs of our stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in adult learning methods and implement solutions to continuously keep Citrix learning relevant for our corporate talent base.
  • Work closely with our stakeholders and development team to investigate, design and plan the evolution of our learning strategy towards a skills-based paradigm.
  • Consistent performance at level as a Senior Manager.
  • Responsible for leading and managing a team; Capable of managing managers to achieve quarterly and annual goals.
  • Recommends operational plans and strategies that will directly impact the achievement of overall functional results.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; concentration in Education, Instructional Design, Communications or Business Administration preferred.
  • 10+ years of broad progressive experience in the learning & development space.
  • Previous experience managing learning & development professionals and working cross-functionally with other technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience implementing a wide array of training experiences (instructor-led, eLearnings, etc.).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with demonstrated abilities to communicate effectively (written and oral) with all types of employees, from field sales to corporate executives.
  • Travel: 30%

  • Effectively designs or re-designs Org structure to meet imperatives and organizational goals.
  • Ability to design and develop a strategy and successfully lead a team through execution.
  • Develops relationships with cross-functional Citrix leaders, executives, partners, and customers to have the most relevant impact on Services strategies and company goals.
  • Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function, and typically has responsibilities for communicating with parties external to the organization, which may include customers or vendors.
  • Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization.
  • Assumes greater accountability for the team’s overall goals and performance, which is a reflection of their individual performance.
  • Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem.
  • Typically has mastery level knowledge and skills within the professional discipline of instructional design with broad understanding of other areas (Citrix messaging, product knowledge, etc.) needed within the job function.
  • Typically has hiring, termination, promotion and reward authority within own area, in accordance with Corporate Guidelines.
  • Is sought out as a mentor and role model by other managers outside of their department.
  • Demonstrates an ability to inspire and motivate others through articulation of a strategic vision to all levels of employees and leader.
  • Demonstrates sound business judgment and financial implications when making decisions.
